The company
La Amarilla de Ronda has produced an olive oil made of the best raw ingredients to suit the consumer's demand for excellent oil that can be used for all type of occasions. These raw ingredients undergo ecological processes guaranteed by the Comité Andaluz de Agricultura Ecológica, assuring that only olive oils of the highest quality and safety are produced.
This idea of producing an ecological olive oil was devised by a trio of international men, each highly regarded within their own sector. The product is crafted by Cristino Lobillo, one of Spain's leading olive oil experts and has a flavour profile created by the celebrated oenologist and winemaker, Michel Rolland. Philippe Starck was responsible for designing the book-shaped tin with a neutral interior coating in order to protect the oil.
The product
All of the olives for La Amarilla are organically grown in the Spanish region of Andalusia and come in two varieties.Intenso is a full-flavoured and robust oil made from a blend of Picual, Hojiblanca, and Arbequina olives. Suave has a more subtle, elegant character and is made from 100% Arbequina olives. These two types are based on the philosophy that different styles of olive oil combine best with different types of food and both are available in 250ml and 500ml tins.
Why we love it
We believe that this olive oil produced from the fruity organic trees represents the quality, complexity and true tradition of the Andalusian olive oil culture. The oils are contained within stylishly-crafted steel containers that not only look charming, but also act as a protective barrier allowing excellent preservation of the quality and taste of the product.
